Description: As a Community Group host home, you would be responsible for preparing each week to have adults and children in your home and participating in the Community Group gathering.

The Why: Community Groups are a key part of our discipleship process here at Plaza. They provide individuals the opportunity to grow deeper in relationships with each other through prayer, fellowship and discussing the previous Sunday’s sermon. We believe that God desires everyone to be a part of a Christ-centered community where they can develop authentic relationships, receive genuine love, and be encouraged to grow through real accountability.

Requirements:

• Must be an active member of Plaza Baptist Church

• Must agree with the Plaza Baptist Statement of Faith

• Must have space available to accommodate 10-12 adults and a separate space to accommodate 8-10 children

• Parking access for 5-8 vehicles preferred

Expectations:

• Make your home available every week for a Community Group gathering

• Ensure a clean environment that is welcoming and inviting

• Greet attendees at the door and make them aware of where the group will meet, where children will be (if applicable), and where the restrooms are.

• Work together with Community Group Leader to make sure meals are coordinated and make your kitchen available when needed.

• Communicate with the Community Group Leader clearly and at least 2 weeks ahead of time if there is a week that you will not be able to host in your home.
